Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro

nicer area and not too busy around the hotel. very close to a large metro station with many lines converging there.

laundry machines on property did not dry the clothes very well. had to hang in room overnight to dry.

It?s close to Tobu, Lumini and Ikebukuro station. The building overall were clean and staff were friendly

Our bathroom didn?t have ventilation or it was too weak to tell. Molds were growing on the ceiling and the door in the bathroom. Bathroom door was hard to close and makes noise when closing.

We appreciated the location, cleanliness, hospitality, and most of all, the gracious staff. We loved the ice machine, cups, & room amenities. The late checkout fee was very reasonable and the airport limo bus drop off & pick up was very convenient.

Our room was too small for 3 adults w/1 big & 1 carryon luggage each even though it was a 3-bed room. We had to request the removal of two chairs in the room so that we could walk from the hallway to the beds.

Service and politeness of staff. Clean room. Great show and tub. Great city view from big window. Comfortable bed. Limousine bus to/from airport. Super close to Ikebukuro station.

Airport accessibility - airport limousine bus stops at the hotel itself, very convenient for transferring to and from Narita or HanedaLocation - short walk to the train station, konbinis, restaurants. There is a mall across, which connects to the train stationRoom - room was clean, its size was typical of Tokyo standards, but it did not feel cramped. Room amenities and toiletries were complete and as expected of many hotels in Japan (including skincare products). Bathroom had ample counter spaceService - staff were very helpful and accommodating. Our bags were stored while we traveled to a different city until our return. Check-in and checkout process was fastWe’s also like to commend the staff for managing elevator traffic during high usage times

The hotel is old and smelly. The rooms are so small.

The hotel has a great location with friendly staff, and the availability of airport bus and taxi services—especially the airport bus stop right at the hotel entrance—makes traveling extremely convenient

The soundproofing was not very good, as noise could be heard from the neighboring room, the room above, and the hallway—possibly due to the busy New Year period

Best location - very near good malls, coffee shops and restaurants and convenience stores, Ikebukuro station, and most of all, the Airport Limousine Bus stops at the hotel.The room and bathroom size is just right.Housekeeping is the best! They don't skimp on amenities.

Hotel Metropolitan was great—the location, staff, and restaurant were all excellent. The only downside was having to go to the front desk each time to pay the gym fee.

From start to finish, the experience at the Hotel Metropolitan was top notch. The personnel were extremely friendly and helpful, especially with the language barrier. Room was very clean and comfortable. We ate at the teppanyaki restaurant in the hotel and it was very good, as well as the buffet dinner. And as a bonus, the train station is right across the street...very convenient. I am staying here the next time I travel to Tokyo.

Only concern was the room was on the small side (we stayed in a Moderate Corner Queen and Standard Twin room on this stay).
